BargePulse ("we", "us") provides vessel tracking and grain freight forecast services. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
What we collect
- Account data: email and full name supplied at sign-in (via Supabase Auth or Google OAuth).
- Usage data: the vessels you search for, vessels you save to "My Fleet", and destination overrides you supply. Stored against your account so we can show recent searches and your saved fleet.
- Billing data: Stripe processes payments. We store only the Stripe customer ID and subscription metadata (status, plan, period end) — never card details.
- Operational data: standard server logs (IP, user-agent, request path) for security and abuse prevention, retained 30 days.
What we share
- Sub-processors: Supabase (hosting + DB + auth), Vercel (frontend hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Mapbox (map tiles), MarineTraffic (vessel position data). Each is bound by their own DPA.
- No sale of personal data. We do not sell user data to third parties.
- Legal compliance: we may disclose if compelled by valid legal process.
Your rights
- Access, correct, or delete your data — email privacy@bargepulse.com.
- Export your saved fleet and ETA history as CSV at any time from the app.
- Cancel your subscription at any time via the Stripe Customer Portal.
Cookies
We use first-party cookies for authentication (Supabase session) and subscription state. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
